Merchant Credit Card Processing
What is the BEST credit card processing company? For credit cards and electronic checks, (merchant services).?

So many companies out there who do you choose?

Simple Payment Systems is truly the absolute best for credit card and electronic check processing. The electronic check processes the check like a credit card. So if the check is deposited into your account ASAP from your business. If it is bad you know right away. I have done research for a long time. They give you free equipment, free training, free software- with a check out cart! (if you have a web site also that you want to sell items on.) They beat discount rate quotes that you give them too. They have 24 hour live help, which is handy. FDIC insured. Make sure you tell them you want the free program. We switched from another company over to them. And have never been happier. Go to their web site and call them or fill out the form and they can contact you. I did countless hours of research! Trust me they are the BEST.
Best wishes!

No Merchant Account Required
Where can I set up a low cost, no monthly fee third party merchant account for infrequent users?

I make several sales a month, so I would like to be able to accept credit card payment using interent account, and no terminal is needed. However, I found most third party merchant require some monthly fee, and I can not afford it. Anybody knows such accounts which require no monthly fees? Thanks!

I don’t think that there are any merchant services companies that would offer fee credit card processing. What would be the benefit to them? But if you are looking for free business checking Washington Mutual has one.

Account Merchant Online
looking for a company that can host an online website. One that I can port my existing merchant account to.?

Have a home-based gift business. Want to create an online store where I can direct people to go to purchase my products. I already have a merchant account that I use for creditcards at home and when I am out selling. I have a credit card terminal that I use. I want to be able to link up my existing merchant account to a website that I can create online

there are plenty hostiong services that offer also SSL certificates for online transaction. SSL = secure socket layer) or preset marketing accounts. Some offers also premade shops, so all you need is to add your products.

www.godaddy.com
www.bluehost.com
www.ipowerweb.com

You need to ask your merchant account company if they also offer support to online transactions thru a SSL website.
In this case you should be able to keep using your actual account.

Merchant Credit Card Account
Why do retailers have rules that counter act credit card companies rules?

why do companies ask for id’s , why do some stores charge surchages on credit and debit purchases and minimum and maximum purchase amounts

some credit card merchant account rules say that you cant do these things no matter and they state that all companies and governments must listen to there merchant rules,
my thing why even accept them if you cant follow their rules

like the surcharges companies charge to consumers so they dont have to pay the fee, if they couldnt afford the fee they shouldnt accept credit cards
just like people dont buy what you cant afford businesses should do the same, do accept what you cant afford

Asking for an id protects you. In this day and age of identity theft I do not understand why anyone gets upset when the store is only trying to keep someone from STEALING from you.

As for the rest it is because credit card processing is hugely expensive and getting worse all the time. We have had ZERO chargebacks in over 3 years yet my rates are going up, again!

Merchant Account Costs
Business Contract Disputes…?

Ok, so I went to cancel my merchant account service that I had on my website from this company. They informed me today there’s a $300 cancellation fee. Supposedly when I signed up with them it was for a year (which I was never made aware of), and when I specifically asked the sales representative multiple times if there were any fees or hidden costs I should know about before filling out the paperwork when I first signed up, he reassured me no. The two sales reps I have talked to on the phone have been very rude to me from that company, and they are not budging to my complaints. —————————————-I have filed a complaint in BBB, but if that doesn’t solve the problem my question is this: Is it possible to just take their product off of my website, close out my bank account to which they are billing every month from my debit card, and just open a new one?

Thanks for your time!

You clearly have a dispute but the proper avenue to resolve the dispute lies within the Agreement which you agreed to when you signed up for their service. Did you read the FINE PRINT-most likely where the hidden fees and costs are explained, otherwise, they would not be charging these fees without legal recourse against them. There may be an “Arbitration” clause which requires any dispute be resolved through arbitration. You’ll need to carefully review the terms of the service agreement to which you entered with the company, then make a determination as to whether you must resolve your complaint through arbitration, the legal process to which you may/may not have agreed to. Otherwise, you may file a complaint in court (jurisdiction is another issue – i.e. the proper place/court in which to file the complaint). Consult an Attorney who specializes in Contracts and Business Law.

In the meantime, yes, I would close the account from which they are charging these fees and costs. At the very worst, you may end up having to pay these amounts in the future if in fact your agreed to certain terms in the service agreement.

Close the account and request a written copy of the full service agreement. From there you can determine your legal remedies and course of legal action.
