If I cancel a newly opened merchant account, will I be able to apply with them again and get approved?

I recently applied for numerous merchant accounts. I was approved for 3 of them and was left with 3 working merchant accounts. I run one website and only wanted 2. If in furture, I try to apply again, will cancelling the initial account effect any decisions on my second application?

If it was for the same business name, then yes it might. If it’s for a different business name, then no it should not.

I would like to add online credit card processing to my website. Which bank is the best for this?

While PayPal is not a traditional bank, it is a very reliable, easy, and not-too-expensive method for accepting credit card payments online.

A traditional credit card merchant account deducts fees from your checking account each month ($25 or more – usually more) while PayPal deducts a percentage of each sale when the transaction is complete.

HHEELLPPPP!?!?!?!? Identity theft!!!

I got a disturbing call to wake me up this morning. It was my bank telling me that someone had tried to make a purchase in the amount of $15,000!!! Upon finding that out and canceling my card, I got online and checked out my account. There are a whole bunch of smaller purchases on there that depleted my account down to it’s last $100. Does anyone have any experience with this??? They said to go into the bank and file an affidaifidt. Will I get most of this money back from the purchases that I didn’t make? What’s the process and how does it work?

Notify the credit reporting agencies. Cancel all credit cards, bank accounts and open new ones. Change all passwords. Keep a close eye on your credit report in the future.

How did this happen? Possibly your PC is infected. Someone went through your trash at home and found something.

Automated bank draft is being repeatedly charged what can I do?

Ok so I lost track of my account balance and an autopay charge triggered an NSF fee, ok I get it. However it so happens that they decide to charge again, and again in 3 day intervals. My bank claims there’s nothing they can do each NSF fee is valid they don’t wanna reverse any. Obviously it’s too late to contact the merchant(auto insurance) to recoup this as they’ll just say not our prooblem. It’s infuriating, how can they get away with excessive NSF fees when I’m continually depositing money into it to try to dodge this crap. Surely there must be SOMETHING I can do to recover some of the money…….would have been much easier if the bank just paid the merchant the first time and charged me ONE NSF fee.
It’s just amazing how indifferenty these people are even though they caused it(merchant). Back when I was with Wells Fargo they reversed fees like nothin awesome customer service, wachovia? No way.

Once you sort this out arrange payment in a different way for example through a credit card or just sending in the payment by check. You may not be able to get the bank to reverse the charges since each time the charge hit there were no funds.

I had a problem a few years ago when Verizon charged my account twice for the same month. I called their customer service and they reimbursed the $30 overdraft charge by crediting my next month’s bill. Your situation may be different.

stuck what do you do? how can I raise the money?

One answer I got was OK the going to the media center to look up grants but I thought grants applied to services for the govt and or research? someone said in one answer 1,500 was too high to start a errand service? it’s 45 to get a city Lisc. and proper car insurance etc, it’s about 1,500 bucks . one said get a pizza job or waiter job HELLO ? sorry but I’ve already looked in those areas I’m either too old or whatever? they already hired college students for waiting jobs as we approach summer soon and pizzerias um GAS costs? whereas in the errand services I can build in costs that include covering for the fuel,of course now that I think of it ,this will probably take ALL of the 1,500 as I have to set up a merchant account for easy transactions. any more ideas on how to raise capital as in getting the dough to start the business? 1,500 isn’t alot of money, paying it back by mid summer or sooner! will be achieved my business will take off real quick I’ve looked into this Biz .

For card not present transactions, where the risk of fraud is higher, the discount rate is higher, as compared to card present transactions.

I am new to the world of e-commerce and was able to find a great deal of information online relating to starting an e-commerce site. However, I have not been able to find a good website that explains the essentials of integrating an e-commerce site with a bricks and mortar operation. Does anyone know of a site I could visit that would explain this to me?
